What does it mean to own the wait?

Owning the Wait (my new book) is officially available!

And obviously, you need a website and email system to host things like this.

But we're here...we persevered through the madness and it had me thinking about how cool, calm, and collected I was through the whole ordeal. You see, I am truly embodying the concepts I share with you in Owning the Wait.

I'm so excited to bring you this book and I just wanted to take a moment to give you some tough love and tell you what it means to own the wait.

Let's start with ownership. This is the moment when most people either RUN or turn to the wrong source for guidance. This concept applies to anything, but let's talk specifically about a weight loss journey because most all of us can relate to that.

When you decide you want to lose weight, you first have to choose to take full responsibility for the actions and habits that have led you to where you are right now (most of us have no problem doing this) AND THEN you have to take full ownership of learning the right steps and taking the right actions to make progress towards you goal.

Things go awry with this first step: taking ownership of learning the right steps. I'm not gonna go into the details of learning the right steps (this is what fit-University is for) but I want you to think about the last time you tried losing weight and where you turned for guidance. Was it a fad diet? Or a friend's experience? Maybe an inspirational IG post? Or a twenty buck downloadable workout plan?

Or did you turn inward and look for answers internally: what do I know to be true about how I lose and gain weight? What have I tried before? What do I not know? How can I learn it for myself instead of taking someone's word for it? What do I need to do to make sure these new habits turn into lifestyle changes so I don't yo-yo again?

Ownership. Doing the work yourself instead of expecting someone else to connect the dots for you. Do the research yourself. Do the inner-seeking yourself. Take full responsibility of your failures and successes rather than blaming the diet or exercise plan you blindly, half-heartedly committed to.

This concept can apply to anything in your life.

Now let's think about "the wait"...nothing in life happens overnight. Any change you want for your life, health, relationships, business, etc. does not have an expiration date. That's not how things work. When we expect instantaneous changes, we miss out on the lessons we learn on the journey...we miss out on taking ownership of what awaits us along the way.

It's time to own your wait wherever you're at in life. My mission with this book is to help you achieve your goals by giving you the tough love necessary to stop making excuses and start showing up for yourself. Owning the Wait will give you hope, tough love, and tactical ways to sew the seeds that will let you step into true physical and emotional health, founded spirituality, successful entrepreneurship, and inner peace.
